It was explained, the types of drug trafficking and abuse cases handled by the Jombang police station consisted of 120 cases of drug trafficking and abuse and 178 cases of circulation and abuse of drugs that were violent and dangerous.

Mukidi revealed, the suspects in the drug trafficking and abuse cases were arrested by the police, consisting of 321 men and 7 women. All suspects have been legally processed.

Then, Mukid continued, among the suspects, there were underage children. "Four suspects are still children," he said.

Meanwhile, from the disclosure of hundreds of cases by 21 Jombang District Police and Reskoba ranks from January to December 20, 2018, the police confiscated 1,001,988 grams of shabu-shabu.

Besides shabu-shabu, the police also confiscated 61,904 coplo pills, 62 extacy pills, and 722 Y pills.

Number of Cases Down

Compared to 2017, the number of cases of circulation and drug abuse in Jombang handled by the police decreased.

From January to December 20, 2018, the ranks of the Jombang Regional Police handled 298 cases. Whereas in 2017, the number of cases of circulation and drug abuse handled by the police were 320 cases.

In 2017, the police determined 370 people as suspects, 335 men and 35 women. Then, in the age category, there were 39 suspects still children.

"Compared to last year there was a decrease, both in the number of cases and the number of suspects," Moch Mukid said.
